Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. There are many things I love to do like listening to music, spending with my family and most of all watching/reading chick lit. This book is one of them so let's start with the summary.

Liz Buxbhaum has known Wes Bennett since they were kids and she believes he doesn't have the boyfriend material, not the kind to make a grand gesture. He is the kind of person who puts a frog in a Barbie Dreamhouse. After ten years. during her senior year, Liz wants to make it perfect like going to the prom with her crush. So she decided to ask Wes for help, to make Micheal notice. Slowly Liz notices that she likes being around Wes, and they become close to each other. She needs to see what she was missing and started to think maybe her version of Happily Ever After is going to be different than she thinks.

Liz loves watching rom-com and wants to have experiences in real life. by having the perfect guy which is Micheal, but he only sees her as a Little Liz, and not a mature and beautiful woman. Liz needed Wes to help her with that. She had to keep secrets from her friends and family. But Wes is the only person she could be honest with, could talk about the things she rarely does, and more. It made Liz realize maybe Wes is her Prince Charming, she was blind to see it and have to figure out what it means.

One of my favorite quotes from this book is, "Enimies-to-lovers-- it's our trope, Buxbaum." Liz wanted to have a perfect love story of her own, turns she did have for the whole time with Wes.
