Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I was looking for a way to get out of the reading slump and to do it is rereading your favorite books, this book is one of them so let's get started with the summary.

Juliette has been locked up by The Reestablishment for having the ability of fatal touch while the world is having issues like a decrease in the population, and difficulty finding food. The organization believes they have the solution by having Juliette locked in the cell. People believed there is a war and The Reestablishment changed their minds by using Juliette. She needs to make a choice, to be a weapon or a warrior.

She was locked up for 264 days, and to keep herself occupied she keeps a diary, to write of everything she counts such as the bricks and her teeth. Until one day someone from the organization needed her since the world is falling apart and she can be used to solve the problem.

One of my favorite quotes from this book is, "All I ever wanted was to reach out and touch another human being not just with my hands but with my heart." Juliette missed so many things, from having human interactions, without the fear of hurting another person and more.

Here are similar books to read -
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Internment by Samira Ahmed

I give this book a 4/5 rating. I hope everyone has a good day and I will see you soon.
