Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.

I have mixed feelings for the TV show Gossip Girl, and I am talking about the show in 2008, not the latest one. The show has nothing but fancy parties, and all the teenagers were obsessed with being popular and it wasn't my taste. However, I did watch most of the episodes because I tend to get curious about what the show is all about. And when I saw this, not only the genre was thriller mysteries which was not my go-to genre but also it is very similar to Gossip Girl I was interested in. So let's get started with the summary.

Devon goes to Niveus Private Academy, he has talent in music and loves going to the music room whenever he can but he also has secrets and the spotlight never leaves him. An anonymous texter name Ace released his private photos. And when it comes to the life of Chlamaka, it was all about being perfect especially being the head girl, and always getting what she wants but the entire school will know her secrets. Ace has been showing the school what secrets both Devon and Chlamaka were keeping.

Both Devon and Chlamaka are black people, probably the only black people in the entire school and they are the only ones who are being targeted by Ace. This is why every student was watching them, any moves they make in private Ace will make it public. But Devon and Chlamaka will find a way to make it stop.
