Kate and Anderson have been best friends and they did everything together. They do auditions, stay at each other's house, they even shared their first kiss and Kate was the first person Andy came out to. One more thing they also share is a crush, they would have a crush on the same person and when their long-distance crush comes to their school, their friendship will have some ups and downs.
Kate Garfield loves to sing, play the guitar and goes on stage to act because she feels it's easier to have a script and to know how to act instead of being off stage. She loves watching movies that inspires her to be on stage especially Tangled. She and Anderson do everything together, from carpooling to theatre rehearsals, they consult at decision making. But when they met their crush Matt they decided that they won't hurt each other and tried to be happy with each other.
One of my favourite quotes is, "You're not weird. even your weird stuff isn't weird. You make sense." This is when she and Matt find out what they in common which is parents getting divorced, this is something she doesn't talk about much and she has someone who knows what she meant.
So to conclude, two best friends like the same person and in the end, Matt will choose one of them.
