Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. You know one of my favourite genres is romance, I love reading the story of two characters falling in love no matter where they from, no matter what the people would think and most importantly it's all about being yourself. This book happens to be one of them so let's begin with the summary.

Alex Claremont-Diaz is known for being a handsome and dashing young man and his image is used as a marketing strategy to boost up in his mom's presidential campaign. But the only problem is Alex has a problem with Prince Henry of Whales who is his nemesis for years. One incident has made the world believed that things are going to get worse and will be bad. And so to clean it up Alex and Henry have to be friends, they pretend to have a fake friendship for damage control. Soon they fall into a secret relationship, it might badly affect the campaign and upend the two nations.

This is enemies to lovers story that is becoming popular, the kind most of the readers seems to prefer including this book because Alex and Henry are from different nations and yet when they are in the same room they feel the connection, the kind of love that is strong and powerful. They didn't want anyone to find out including their family but soon the truth will come out and so they will have to show everyone that nothing will come between them.

One of my favourite quotes is, "That's the choice. I love him, with all that, because of all that. On purpose. I love him on purpose." Henry's and Alex's life isn't private, they knew how their families and the world would react to their relationship and yet they continue to see each other because they choose it, they choose to fall in love. They choose to fall in love  despite their differences and in the end they wont be hiding from the world anymore.

So to conclude, this is about a rivalry between the Prince of Wales and the First Son of the United States Alex Claremont-Diaz and his mother is running for a second term for the president. He has the passion and motivation to start his political career.
