Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Reading books that have royalty, kingdom and power can be fun and exciting and this book happens to be one of them. So let's begin with the summary.
In this book, American has a royal family, as in the American won the Revolutionary War and General George Washington was offered a crown by the people. After two and a have centuries later, Princess Beatrice is close to becoming America's first queen, she has been preparing for this her whole life.
Not many people have an interest in knowing what is happening with Princess Samantha except when she is breaking the rules and she too doesn't care. Except that there is one boy who is off-limits to her.
Lastly, there is Samantha's twin brother, Prince Jefferson, because of new laws of succession he is in the third line of generation and most of the people adore him. Two girls from different backgrounds have captured his heart, Daphne and Nina.
What makes the book interesting is the chapters on the point of views of Beatrice, Samantha, Nina and Daphne. It is so fun to the story of each character mostly their romance and I love it. Each character has their own struggles especially when it comes to the royalty and they face ups and downs.
One of my favourite quotes in the book is. "All I know is that when I need to eat my feelings, my feelings taste like Wawa milkshakes with extra M&Ms." Nina likes to eat candy, it is a key to her happiness in moments of having a best friend who is a princess and feeling left out, her life isn't normal which is why she much rather have simple food, doing simple things.
So to conclude, it is the story of romance, scandal and drama with four different characters in Washington, America.
