Early Departures by Justin A. Reynolds

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Most of the fiction I have read is romance, LGBT, dystopia, and magical realism. Magical realism fiction is what I have been enjoying the most because it has realistic fiction with a magical element and I love it including this book so let's started with the summary.

Jamal and Quincy or Q were friends for a long time but for two years they haven't spoken to each other. After getting into an accident, Jamal lost Q until a group of people called The Centre have found a to bring Q back to life temporarily. Until Q dies again, Jamal has made a promise to be a good friend, he wants to make things right.

Jamal was mad at Q, he blamed his best friend for causing an accident that led to Jamal losing his parents. Things got complicated. It has really torn them apart until Jamal tried to save Q's life but it was too late. However, Q has a chance to live again to say goodbye properly and Jamal tried to handle it but seeing his best friend was too much for him. He then realized that Q at the beach saved a girl's life which is why the Centre has chosen him and it hasn't been easy for Q with his dad and so on. once they became friends, they made so many memories together from making comedy videos to going to New York to meet their role model. After  Q learned how much time he has left, he didn't want to water it with crying with his loved ones including his mom. Q wanted to spend his last moments with having good times, laughing, and many more.

So let's conclude, after losing his best friend and getting him back for a short time Jamal decided to be a better friend until the end.
